Isaac Hewitt, LPC

Isaac loves working to help people achieve their ideal self.   Many people have goals and hopes that they wish to accomplish, and often times these objectives are complicated by challenges they are currently facing or have faced in the past.  I believe that the individual is the catalyst for change in their life, and my position as a counselor is to help them identify those resources that they have used in the past as well as employ new resources.

I work with children, teenagers, and adults.  I take a holistic approach to counseling.  I view the individual as more than a set of problems, but rather as a unique individual that is a combination of strengths and weaknesses.  I have been trained in Brief Image Rescripting and Reprocessing Therapy, an intervention for trauma.  I enjoy helping parents to learn to employ more democratic approaches to the challenges of parenting.  I have taken multiple trainings on the treatment of ADHD and the challenges that this diagnosis can have in its severity across the lifespan of an individual so I understand the stigma associated with mental health problems.

I grew up in Mound MN, have lived in Idaho for over 15 years and have 6 children.  I am both an adventurer and treasure hunter at heart. I am LDS and have had the opportunity to interact with people of diverse backgrounds which has heavily influenced how I perceive the world and my own values.  I would love to meet with you and help you on your trek in life to become more of what you think you are meant to be.
